Faith-centered care

Pastoral Christian Counseling Disclaimer

Clear boundaries for Re-Aligning Purpose Counseling and other pastoral-care services.

Pastoral Christian counseling is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For suicide or mental-health crisis support in the United States, call or text 988.

Nature of the service

Roshell Boudreaux is a licensed and ordained pastor who offers faith-centered pastoral Christian counseling and pastoral care. These services may include prayer, Scripture, spiritual encouragement, practical reflection, and ministry support.

Not licensed clinical therapy

Pastoral Christian counseling is not licensed clinical therapy, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, medical treatment, clinical diagnosis, or a substitute for care from a licensed mental-health, medical, legal, addiction-treatment, or other qualified professional. Participation does not create a licensed therapist-client, physician-patient, or attorney-client relationship.

Choice and referrals

You remain responsible for your decisions and well-being. You may be encouraged to seek a licensed professional, medical provider, treatment program, shelter, emergency service, or community resource when needs fall outside pastoral care. Do not delay professional or emergency help because of information on this website or a pastoral conversation.

Privacy and safety limits

Personal matters will be approached with care and respect. Privacy may have limits when there is a serious safety concern, suspected abuse or neglect, a legal requirement, or another circumstance requiring action. Applicable boundaries should be discussed before services begin. Electronic communication is not guaranteed to be completely secure.

No guaranteed outcome

Spiritual growth, healing, recovery, relationships, and life change are personal processes. No particular outcome is promised or guaranteed.

Domestic violence, addiction, and medical risk

Pastoral support does not replace a safety plan, domestic-violence advocate, detoxification or substance-use treatment, medical care, or emergency intervention. Visit the Crisis Resources page for immediate and specialized support options.
